During this webinar, the Requordit team explored how we can help you automate invoice and data extraction, validate to your existing Viewpoint database, and upload your invoice image metadata all at once using your Cloud OCR Insight and Ancora.

What is OCR?

OCR means Optical Character Recognition and involves capturing data off a page. There are two methods, we call them ‘old school’ and ‘new school’ at Requordit, but it just means template based or dynamic OCR.

The solutions we went through on our webinar are part of the second category: the new school/dynamic version. What really means is that you don’t have to spend a lot of time setting up templates to capture the different locations, because dynamically it is going to be reading the entire page and capturing all the data off of the page.

What this does is enhances the capture and uses learning algorithm to learn over time, so you are not going to have enhance manually templates as you go; it’s going to be reading these dynamically and it’s also going to be doing this kind of on a vendor basis, this will increase your capture rate, reduce the amount of time it takes to set up the solution, and it also allows you to put a bunch of different documents through this.
